Every year, Parker University recognizes initiatives like World Spine Day and National Chiropractic Health Month (NCHM). These two different programs are both designed to positively impact and support the overall mission of the chiropractic industry. Valuable campaigns like this help expose Parker University students to the importance of public awareness and creating positive change through their future careers as Doctors of Chiropractic (DCs).
World Spine Day 2025 – Invest in Your Spine
World Spine Day annually highlights the spinal pain and disability experienced by millions of people worldwide, bringing together health advocates, professionals, and organizations to promote the importance of spinal health and well-being. Organized by the World Federation of Chiropractic (WFC), the campaign encourages individuals, communities, healthcare providers, and policymakers to take proactive steps to prevent spinal issues through education, lifestyle adjustments, and workplace ergonomics.
October 16 marks this year’s annual World Spine Day, with “Invest in Your Spine!” as its theme. World Spine Day encourages people to support their spinal health through movement and highlights the necessity of staying mobile, avoiding physical inactivity, and adopting healthy habits such as weight loss and smoking cessation.

National Chiropractic Health Month 2025 – Get Started with Chiropractic
Throughout October, the American Chiropractic Association (ACA) and DCs nationwide will celebrate NCHM to raise public awareness around musculoskeletal health and the benefits of chiropractic care, focusing on chiropractic’s natural, evidence-based, patient-centered, and non-drug approach to health and wellness. Raising public awareness about how critical chiropractic care is in today’s world of opioid addiction helps fight against prescription drug abuse and overuse.
The 2025 theme, “Get Started with Chiropractic,” highlights the importance of non-drug approaches, such as chiropractic services, for pain management. Getting started with chiropractic care, compared to other types of treatments, may help patients reduce or avoid the use of prescription pain medications. Research proves that people who begin with chiropractic treatment for back pain have a significantly lower risk of requiring an opioid prescription later.

Parker University’s promotion of these annual causes also brings awareness and continued support to the ever-changing and evolving chiropractic industry. Parker University encourages these vital initiatives to help raise public awareness and educate others about the unparalleled value of chiropractic.
