Parker University proudly announces that Dr. Andy Galpin, Ph.D., CSCS*D, NSCA-CPT*D, FNSCA, its professor and director of the Human Performance Center, had work published in Experimental Physiology, on behalf of The Physiological Society, that was among the top 10 most-cited papers published by the journal in 2023. His article “Gut check: Unveiling the influence of acute exercise on the gut microbiota” was awarded as a “Top Cited Article.” This exciting achievement highlights the crucial impact of his work.

In August of 2024, Parker University welcomed Dr. Galpin as its new Executive Director of the Human Performance Center (Center of Excellence). Known as a renowned expert in human performance, Dr. Galpin leads the center’s mission to revolutionize how athletes and individuals achieve peak physical and mental performance. With more than two decades of experience in human performance research and application, Dr. Galpin brings a wealth of knowledge and a proven track record of success. In his new role at Parker University, Dr. Galpin oversees cutting-edge initiatives, including advanced research, specialized training programs, and community outreach. Dr. Galpin’s critical career studies and work with professional athletes helps bring firsthand knowledge and experience to this role.
