Parker University Chiropractic Student Chris Jumper Selected for World Games in Chengdu

Parker University is excited to announce that its Tri 8 DC student, Chris Jumper, has been selected as one of four students to attend the World Games in Chengdu, the capital city of the Chinese province of Sichuan.

At the World Games, Chris will work with the research team and support chiropractors by preparing the necessary documents to keep things running smoothly for the doctors. He will also help with data management—ensuring patient visit records are accurate, following up on incomplete treatment logs, and joining the research team for nightly debriefs. “I’m planning to soak up as much knowledge as possible from the practicing doctors. I’m hoping the hard work I put in now as a student could open doors for more chances to work with this high-level team down the road!” Chris shares.

Since sharing his exciting news, the support from Parker University has made Chris more grateful to have been chosen for the World Games, where he will represent Parker University and learn from world-renowned doctors and chiropractic researchers.

Choosing Parker University’s DC Program

Chiropractic was a significant career change for Chris, who was looking for a university that embraced innovation and evolution. Chris says, “Initially, I was drawn to Parker because of its location. As a New Yorker, I naturally gravitate toward cities. When I visited for Parker Power Weekend, the energy on campus was undeniable. I left that weekend feeling confident that if I fully committed myself, the guidance and resources at Parker University would be there to help me succeed.”

Chris’s long-term goal is to build a practice with interprofessional healthcare providers, creating a collaborative environment for patient care. “Based on my experiences at Parker University and the people who have inspired me along the way, I’m drawn to a more integrative approach to chiropractic care. In the short term, that likely means pursuing a post-graduate residency or fellowship in a hospital setting. There are so many emerging opportunities for chiropractic graduates in integrative care right now, and I’m excited to take advantage of them!” Chris shares.
