Step 1: Apply to Parker University
Before you can apply to the Medical Assistant (MA) Program, you must first complete the Parker University admission process.
Step 2: Apply to the Medical Assistant Program
Once admitted to Parker University, you will also need to:
- Complete and submit the online MA Program application
- Read and sign all program acknowledgment forms in the application portal.
- Submit all required documents by the designated due date.
Incomplete or late applications will not be accepted. Submission of an application does not guarantee admission.

Academic Requirements
To be eligible for progression into the professional phase of training, you must:
- Earn a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale.
- Maintain a grade of “C” or better in all required pre-professional courses.
- Repeat any course in which you receive a grade of “D” or “F.”
- If you repeat a course, you must also complete the re-entry process as outlined in the Parker University catalog.
Students who do not meet coursework requirements will not be allowed to progress in the program.
Selection Process
The number of students accepted into the MA Program may vary each year. Admission decisions are based on:
- A completed MA Program application (note: application does not equal automatic admission).
- Results of a Level-3 criminal background screening. Students with criminal charges or convictions may not be eligible.
- Review of your academic history, including past failures or withdrawals from other MA programs.
Acceptance
If accepted into the Medical Assistant Program:
- You will receive an acceptance letter by email from Parker University.
- It is your responsibility to monitor your email and keep your contact information updated with the university.
Additional Requirements
Upon acceptance, you must sign a waiver acknowledging that:
- You may not be eligible to work in the healthcare industry based on immunization requirements, criminal background results, or drug screening outcomes.
