Used Benefits at Another School?
If you’re transferring to Parker, notify the VA by submitting a Request for Change of Program or Place of Training.
Steps To Benefits
How to apply for your VA benefits
Follow these steps for each term you plan to use your benefits.
Step 1
Request Certification
Complete the VA Enrollment Certification Request form for the current term.
Step 2
Submit Your Documentation (First Term Only)
Provide the following:
- Certificate of Eligibility or Statement of Education Benefits
- Official military transcript (for Veterans)
- All prior academic transcripts
- Parker VA Enrollment Certification Request (every term)
Step 3
Pre-Certification
After the Bursar and Financial Aid teams review your account, Parker submits your enrollment dates and credit hours to the VA.
Step 4
Final Certification
After the drop/add period, we confirm finalized tuition, fees, and scholarships. This triggers the VA tuition and fees payment process.

Post-9/11 GI Bill®
For service after Sept. 10, 2001. Often includes tuition and housing.

Survivors’ and Dependents’ Educational Assistance
Education and training for eligible dependents of Veterans with qualifying circumstances.
Chapter 30
Montgomery GI Bill®
For active duty and reservists pursuing degrees or training.
Chapter 31
Veteran Readiness and Employment (VR&E)
For Veterans with service-connected disabilities. Contact your state’s VA Regional Office for details.
Keep your MHA on Track
If you’re using the Post-9/11 GI Bill®, you must verify enrollment every month to receive your Monthly Housing Allowance (MHA) or kicker.
Important: Module and subterm courses are certified separately. Verify the actual enrolled hours for each month.
