Get support from fellow Parker students who’ve excelled in your courses. Peer tutors offer one-on-one or small group sessions to help you understand course material and study more effectively.
How to Attend a Tutoring Session
- Download the Penji app or log in online
- Select the course you need help with
- Choose a session time that works for you
- Attend your session (Virtual sessions include a Microsoft Teams link)
Professional Online Tutoring
Need help outside regular hours or beyond peer tutoring? Parker has partnered with Tutor.com to provide 24/7 online tutoring in a wide range of subjects—free to all students.

To access Tutor.com, log into your Parker University Brightspace course. Once you click on your course, you will find a “Tutoring Resources” widget on the course homepage.
How to become a Tutor
Tutoring is a great way to sharpen your own skills, support your classmates, and build leadership experience through loving service.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- B (80%) or higher in the course(s) you want to tutor
- Eligible for Federal Work Study through Financial Aid
- No conduct violations with Student Affairs
How to Apply
- Log in to MyParker and complete a Work Study Application.
- Submit your tutor application to Tutoring Services.
Peer tutors complete training through the College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA) Level I International Tutor Training Program Certification (ITTPC), the leading international standard for tutor development. After finishing 10 hours of structured, skills-based training, tutors earn their Level I certification, demonstrating proficiency in academic strategies, effective communication, and student-centered support. This certification ensures that our services meet professional standards. Through this training, peer tutors are equipped to support diverse learning styles, boost academic confidence, and empower students with lifelong learning skills. Together, these standards reinforce our commitment to providing high-quality, service-oriented learning support to every student.
