CBI Doctor Program

CBI Doctor Program

What is the CBI Program?

The CBI Program provides 10th-trimester students with hands-on experience in private practices under the guidance of experienced doctors. Students apply in their 9th trimester and are matched with a clinic for a 13–15 week internship,  to further their clinical learning and experiences.

Before starting, students complete key clinical competencies to ensure they are prepared for patient care. They are also fully covered by NCMIC-Parker University’s professional liability insurance for added protection.

What Our Doctors Are Saying

Headshot of Dr. Husni Khayal.

"The implementation of the CBI program and the process of helping to train interns inspired us in the best way possible to elevate our patients’ experience by always refining and improving."

Headshot of Dr. Andrew Oteo.

"This program is truly a win-win—for both the students and the doctors involved. The interns get hands-on experience that helps bridge the gap between school and real-world practice, and I get the opportunity to learn from them, stay sharp, and continuously grow through teaching."

Dr. Andrew Oteo
Headshot of Dr. Kirtland Speaks.

"I have had the privilege of being involved with the CBI program since its inception in 2009, during which I have trained over 450 interns. What continually inspires me is the rewarding nature of this experience; while I impart knowledge on chiropractic practice, I find that the interns teach me just as much in return. This dynamic creates a truly collaborative approach to learning, enriching our journey together."

Headshot of Dr. Leigh Lentz.

"I think the CBI program is a great way for chiropractic students to experience "real world" patients, expand their knowledge and give them more confidence, which will help them in their chiropractic careers.  I am really enjoying helping the next generation of chiropractors be successful!"
