This class will begin with a history of the origination of theories relating the feet to the kinetic chain and the researched benefits of appropriate orthotic utilization. We will discuss the three phases of the gait cycle including the ill effects of excessive pronation on foot, ankle, knees, hips, pelvis, and spine. Many of the most common postural distortions are directly linked to improper kinetic chain function.
